Photo sizes & cropping

To maintain consistent quality in images and style across the website the following measurements are required for photos. Note as rule for all photos  — please use Photoshop or equivalent program to crop and resize photos before posting to them.  Avoid uploading image files of more than 1MB (apart from PDFs of docs). Small adjustments can be made to image size in WYSIWIG system. But all cropping must be done in Photoshop or equivalent.

Add images to WYSIWYG

To add an image into the WYSIWYG you need to have resized the image first. Resizing by dragging the image dimensions directly in the WYSIWYG, does not alter the actual file size of the image - only its visual size. This means that users will still download a big file even if it has been resized to a small size in the WYSIWYG. This dragging resizing can also result in image distortion.

To learn the correct way to resize images, see the help tutorial "Resize an image".

Construction workers take up the Climate Change challenge

The debate on Australia pricing carbon pollution rages – in Parliament and in the media.

Unions have a responsibility to get involved to protect our members’ best interests. The CFMEU respects blue collar workers concerns about their jobs and the rising costs of living. That’s why the union’s bottom line is: that jobs must be protected and low and middle income earners must be permanently compensated in any pollution pricing plan.
