Using the content list feature
Filtering results
- In the black admin bar mouseover manage, and select ‘content’ from dropdown.
- The system saves your last settings so usually the first thing you need to do is click the RESET button. If this is your first time, proceed to step 3
- The listing shows all content. Using status or type, filter the results to show only specific results. Choose if you are filtering by status or type by clicking the appropriate radio button
- Then choose the status or type from the dropdown. So if you are looking to list all testimonials select the type radio button, and testimonials from the type dropdown.
- Click filter. (In the example above, this produces a listing of all ‘testimonials’ in the system).
- If you now wish to filter again (say you have done a search for type news and now want to see only unpublished news) you can now do another filter clicking the refine button once your selection is made from the dropdown. This is useful to drill down into the listing.
Performing actions on results
- Now you have a list of specific content you can perform bulk actions like, publish, unpublish or delete. This is how we delete test or old content. To do this, use the check boxes next to each row to check the content you would like to perform and action on.
If you don’t wish to performa multiple action, you can use the quick access to edit the item by clicking the edit button on the far right of the appropriate content. - To continue with a bulk action, use the Update Options dropdown to choose which action you would like to perform.
- Click UPDATE
- If you have chosen to delete, you will be asked to confirm the action.
