SECTION 6 – KIDNAP, DETENTION, EXTORTION AND RANSOM
EXTENT OF COVER
- If an Eligible Financial Member or their Immediate Family is kidnapped, hijacked, illegally detained or receives an extortion threat whilst engaged on Insured Travel within the Territorial Limits, Accident and Health International will reimburse the Ultimate Net Loss, but not exceeding the amount stated in the Schedule, for any one kidnapping, detention or extortion in any one Period of Insurance.
- The Ultimate Net Loss includes any monetary loss which is incurred for the delivery of services or property in order to secure the resolution of a kidnap, detention or extortion incident. Such expenses include:
2.1. Reasonable fees and expenses of Dynamiq Assist or other independent negotiators authorised by Dynamiq Assist as a result of any damage; or
2.2. any other direct expenses which are reasonable in amount and necessarily incurred for the purpose of investigating, negotiating or paying a ransom demand or recovering the Insured Person, but not including any expenses, fees or damages incurred as a result of any proceedings brought against You arising out of such a demand or any losses or damages caused or claimed to be caused by way of interruption to any business.
